Nunshower

This circular painting of Parliament Hill is typical of Bhat Boy’s wit and humour. Gigantic, overzealous tulips visit Ottawa in a tulip-tourist-twist. Nuns descend upon the Nation’s Capital in an unexpected Nunshower whilst unaware RCMP officers loiter in Confederation Square. The painting is centered around the War Memorial, featuring Parliament Hill’s Centre Block, and East Block, the Confederation Building, the Langevin Block where the Prime minister’s office is located, and the Chateau Laurier which sits precariously on Sappers Bridge over the Rideau Canal. The gigantic tulips represent the environment we would like to control, but are at the mercy of, while the Nuns represent 21st century phantom threats which are the cause of so much security. no 239
