Over two days we had about 2000 people attend the show which has become a highlight of the spring season in the area. The ten “Canadian artists feature diverse backgrounds and styles of painting”. People love to engage with the painters and experience how different each one of us is.

I worked with some great partners to put on this show in Ottawa. Leanne Moussa was a great support and the venue was perfect to put on this show.
The New Art Festival 2023
The New Art Festival (renamed Art in the Park in 2024) only accepts original, one-of-a-kind artwork. All artworks must be handmade by the exhibiting artists and are juried relative to the artistic merit, professionalism, integrity, craftsmanship, and originality, the artist’s statement, and bio submitted. Once again hundreds and hundreds of people from near and far enjoyed two beautiful days of lovely weather and extraordinary art and crafts.

We were blown away with approximately 2000 visitors attend the show in just two days! It’s quite an experience meeting and chatting with so many people who love the paintings they’ve come to see (and to buy!)

This was a terrific weekend that brought out neighbours and visitors from all around Ontario and Quebec, from Montreal to Toronto and Kingston to Guelph, and probably many other places. This event was cathartic for me in that I not only met lots of new people, but also reconnected with many old friends and acquaintances not seen since March 2020.
